Makevale featured in Platinum Jubilee Pageant Commemorative Album

Makevale has been featured in the Platinum Jubilee Commemorative Album, highlighting our continued record of innovation in the field of organic chemistry. The inclusion is highly prestigious, marking wider recognition of Makevale’s commitment to helping people through advanced polymer technology.

The Platinum Jubilee Commemorative Album was produced to mark the Platinum Jubilee celebrations at the beginning of June, as the country celebrated the Queen’s 70 years on the throne. Makevale takes its place in the album alongside a selection of the other institutions the Queen has supported through patronage, warrants and awards.

This feature comes after Makevale was recently awarded the Queen’s Award for Enterprise: Innovation for the second time, recognising our outsized impact on the world of organic chemistry. Receiving the Queen’s Award is a distinguished business achievement which demonstrates Makevale’s commitment to pushing the boundaries in polymer innovations and technology.

Makevale first received the award in 2010 for removing the harmful material cadmium from dental acrylic, making the world’s first Cadmium-free denture base, a significant advancement for the dental industry from a health perspective. In 2021, a second Queen’s Award for Enterprise: Innovation was the result of developing an orthopaedic polymer that facilitates enhanced performance, in particular fatigue resistance, improving the quality of life for patients.

The award has helped fuel Makevale’s passion to touch the lives of everyone by improving available technologies and developing products that help a wide range of people. The company is already looking towards the next award with a newfound dedication that will bring more inspiring projects in the years to come.
